the battle of hastings

In the first game we had to choose one choice out of a number of options and we had to choose the right choice to win the war. I thought this game was boring because you did not have to do much and it wasn't very exciting. In the second game we choose to control the English and be king Harold, or the normads and be duke William and the vikings and be king hadgrada. You controlled an army and made all the tactical decisions for your army like when to shot arrows, when to move forward, when to fight, when to retreat, etc. I really liked this game because you could really feel how it was to be a king in a war and you could make all the decisions. While playing these two games I learnt that tactical choices are very important in wars. The battle of Hastings started in 1066 when king Edward of England died and people did not know who was going to be the next king. The nobles decided it would be king Edward's brother in law, Harold godwinson but some people did not agree with that. In Normandy duke William thought he should be king because king Edward made an oath to him before he died and king hagrada thought he should be king because he had an ancestor named cunt who was the king of England. Later on that year king hargarda attacked England but failed and king Harold was still king. But then duke William attacked and defeated Harold and now William is king.
